Psd to Joomla Tutorial: Expanding Joomla Theme from a Photoshop Design in Seconds. NOTICE!! – There is a new and better (and EASIER) way to do this now. Look at the video response to this video! psd2cssonline.com – This isn’t a brand new feature, but it does include a brand new bug fix In this video tutorial I’ll show you how to convert a Joomla theme from a Photoshop design directly to a working Joomla theme in just a few seconds. I’ll also show you what you need to do to make this theme expand with your content. The PSD file used in this example is available here: psd2cssonline.com

I have a doubt, what you did after you installed the joomla templete you move in css, html, in a program called “terminal” dreamweaver? Why did not understand what happened to the template, which was scrambled and how you fixed it to be normal. And why the template was not right?
Thank you (I’m Brazilian)
great video
A MUCH SIMPLER feature has been added to psd2css Online to get your design to expand with your content (works not only for Joomla, but Drupal, WordPress and HTML/CSS too!) Check out the video response to this tutorial above!
I think I understand. When you install Joomla you get a choice of a blank install (no content, which is what I think you are asking for) or a bunch of ‘example content’ (which sounds like what you are trying to avoid). Don’t use any of the ‘one button installers’ – install Joomla the way the Joomla docs describe and be careful NOT to choose the ‘example content’. I hope that is helpful. — Shaun
So, their menus and contents etc are like a kind of blue copy that we have to stick with? or can we avoid it and from a new template (ie. made in psd or whatever) starts creating my own text, menus etc? you know what I mean???
Sorry maybe I didn’t explain me well. What I was trying to ask is if there is any chance to build a new website in Joomla from a blank page? All the templates tutorial etc talks about how to insert a template etc, but when the new template is up, it always shows the menu, polls etc of the original Joomla website. So what I don’t get is if it MUST happen, then we (the developers) have to delete part of their texts, change the menus etc.
Oh heck yeah. That’s what psd2css Online was built for in the first place. Joomla, Drupal and WordPress are all ‘advanced’ features that were added much later. Take a look at the site or at any of the other video tutorials here. Thanks.
Hi, just a question re. joomla, Is the only chance to program a website deleting or changing that joomla texts, menu, etc? I mean is it not possible to design and program the website from zero? (using a template from photoshop, of course) and creating your own text, columns etc? or is it much simpler to modify that text originally done in joomla? (menus, polls etc) sorry i am new in this, thanks.
Yep – the link to it is right over there in the description section for this video. Just up and to the right I believe
Hi is it possible to get your psd file ?
